Places of intrigue

Derby street and the Pickering wharf area have some neat little shops and restaurants that have a periodic feel and charm. On my way to winter island, I took a few pics of some places that are high ok my list to check out. By the way, in case you haven’t noticed, I have been posting from my iPhone lately. It’s easier to take pics and post directly using the wordpress app on the iPhone.

Salem Willows

If you live in the heart of Salem then you are also very close to some nice ocean front views. Here are a few pictures of Salem Willows that I took a few weeks back. It is a nice place to go on a decent summer day.

Planning to visit Salem one of these days?

Kate Fox of DestinationSalem has a very nice post titled ‘Getting Around Salem‘.  Check it out here.

As the post mentions, there are a couple of pedicab companies that people can use to get around.  Here is a picture of one of them that I took a couple of weekends back.

A Stroll Through Front St.

A Stroll on Front St. – Salem, MA, originally uploaded by sagarmohan.

This is a very quaint street to stroll through on a Saturday morning, or on your way home from the Commuter T stop on Bridge street. It has quite a few stores that will be listed on this site very soon. If you are in Salem, cut through Essex Street towards the Old Town Hall and go around the building towards this street.
Here are a few pictures.
