Beautiful Essex Street

Beautiful Essex Street, Salem, MA, originally uploaded by sagarmohan.

Essex Street is a pedestrian only (for the most part) street in the heart of downtown Salem. It is a beautiful cobblestone and brick street with a lot of eclectic stores and restaurants on both sides. At the end of the street is the famous Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) http://pem.org/

On Halloween day, this street is so packed that people cannot walk through. But, most summer days, especially weekends bring a lot of tourists to this street to enjoy a very pleasant and timeless walk.
